Do You Offer EMF Protection for Earbuds That Don’t Plug Into the Phone?Updated 4 hours ago
We currently don’t offer a shielded case for wireless earbuds, since shielding would block their Bluetooth signal. Instead, we recommend safer workaround and alternative products to reduce EMF exposure when using earbuds.
Why wireless earbuds can’t be “shielded”
Bluetooth emits EMF, and shielding or wrapping earbuds while connected would block the signal, preventing them from functioning .
As a result, there isn’t a way to reduce EMF from wireless earbuds while they’re in use—without disabling them.
What you can do with SYB
While you can’t wear a shield with wireless earbuds in use, here’s how to reduce EMF exposure:
Store unused earbuds in an SYB Phone Pouch
Use the pouch when earbuds are resting to lower overall EMF exposure.
Limit duration and frequency
Reducing time spent with Bluetooth in-ear helps limit cumulative exposure.
Switch to wired air‑tube alternatives
Try the SYB Air Tube Headset: uses air‑filled tubes to carry sound, with the electronics at a safer distance from your head.
Blocks up to 99% of phone radiation
Delivers clear stereo audio and includes a mic and controls
Available as:
In‑ear earbuds style (AvalonX)
Wrap‑around secure style
Universal models with 3.5 mm or USB‑C connectors
Use the SYB H.A.R.D. accessory
Adds radiation-blocking material in-line with conventional 3.5 mm or USB‑C wired headsets
Preserves your favorite headphones, keeps full audio quality without Bluetooth
